ADDAC129

ADDAC129 expands our Four String Series into a physical resonator. A Transducer (vibration speaker) slides into the bridge end lever and transports any sound through the strings which is then captured by the pickup.

The transducer is powered by a small mono amplifier, its input accepts any input (synth/line).

The volume knob attenuates the incoming audio. Always be mindful of the level used, gain staging is crucial and loud doesn't always translates to better output, as a rule of thumb is typically better practice to lower the input volume and raising the pickup gain.

The input can be fed by the ADDAC121/122 pickup output creating a feedback system, it can be fed external audio which turns the system into an audio processor or a mix of both using external mixing.

The effect generated will always have the natural decay of the strings which can somewhat resemble a spring reverb with the upside that in this system there's no background noise.

The strings tuning will greatly influence the overall tone and harmonics that will resonate with the incoming audio. Short bursts of audio can decay into dense harmonics clusters, Drones will excite complex reverb-like harmonics as they are "filtered" by the strings tuning.

Users can manually mute individual strings allowing them to resonate at will.

The Speaker is mounted to a coupler that also connects to the amplifier box using vibration dampeners keeping it isolated from the speaker. The coupler tightly slides into the headstock end lever making it easy to install or remove. This standalone solution takes no rack space.
